Individual seat covers are a great alternative to a traditional mooring, which many find to be bulky and cumbersome. Our seat covers are made from the same canvas that is currently used on your Bennington. Surlast is an all-weather fabric that is both water resistant and breathable; it has a high resistance to UV fade, and is mold and mildew resistant as well.
Easy to install | Puffin Boats seat covers attach to the outside of the boat similarly to your mooring cover by utilizing the quick clips that lock into the middle rail; our clips are attached to adjustable straps which make it simple to secure and tighten once in place. The interior portions attach with snaps.
For individuals we include self-adhesive snaps that you match up with the cover and then stick in place. See below for the manufacturer’s recommend procedure. Screw-in snap studs can be sent by request for those people that are comfortable pre-drilling holes for proper attachment.
For Dealers we let them install screw-in snap studs at each of the snap locations.
We utilize a loose fit design that is not overly snug for quick covering and uncovering, canvas fits up and around bimini feet and brackets so there are no unnecessary cutouts in the canvas.
Seat covers for 2016 and newer Bennington Pontoons - S line, SX line & L line only. Lengths 16’ to 22’ are $1,850; lengths that are 23’ and larger are $2,050.
Available in Black, Taupe/Tan or Metallic Silver at the standard price. Other listed colors add an additional $150.

Single covers are available by special request, if you need replacements or just don’t want a full set. Reach out to Nate with your year, model, color and which cover you’d like so he can price it.

Adhesive snap installation instructions:
Surface Preparation Instructions and Application Guidelines: Snap components will adhere to most clean, dry and well-unified surfaces. Typical surface cleaning solvents are a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) water mixture. Let air dry or wipe dry with a soft lint-free cloth before applying the fastener. Remove the liner from the back of the disk. Position the snap and roll it into place. Press down on the snap working all the way around the snap and in the center to secure to substrate.
Note: Additional bond strength can be achieved using 3M™ Tape Primer 94 Adhesive Promoter (available at other online suppliers).
Application Pressure: Bond strength is dependent upon the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact developed. Firm application pressure develops a better adhesive contact and thus improves bond strength.
Application Temperature: Ideal tape application temperature range is 70ºF to 100ºF (21ºC to 38ºC).
Dwell Time: After applying these snaps, the bond strength increases and approaches the ultimate bond strength after 72 hours at 70ºF (21ºC). Typical bond strength build-up: 20 minutes equals 50% bond strength, one hour equals 75% bond strength, one day equals 90% bond strength, and three days equals 100% bond strength. This means that initially, the longer the snaps can be left without the covers attached, the better the bond strength will be.
